Lukas Season 2015/16

For me (Lukas) this season started pretty well: Pre season park days in Kaunertal and Damüls, a powder day in Kaunertal and some skitouring in Vorarlberg with Max when the first snow came in. I felt very confident this year and was looking forward to our planed trip to Georgia (Caucasus) mid January...but it all turned out to be different: 

In mid december I was skiing with Max in Flumserberg (Switzerland) and ruptured my ACL. After a surgery I am now starting to recover and had some time to put a short edit from my 8 skidays (1 day filming only) together...no exeptional skiing but keep in mind it was my first day on skis this season:

A friend of mine will join Max in Caucasus now and I hope they'll find some dope lines.

Meanwhile I'll do my rehab to be able to bike in summer again.

On the road again...

The days we are together in the mountains became rare since the everyday work caught us, but still those days are pretty awesome!

Here is some footage of our mountainbiketrip this summer. We started our trip at the lago maggiore (Italy) and finished in Agay (Côte d'Azur, France). I miss these panoramic views...

Ride around Walensee

While Max moved away from the alps (unfortunately), I still have the time to spent the weekends in the mountains. This time I went mountainbiking with a friend around the Walensee. 1000 alt and 50 km...pretty exhausting but worth it!!!

Norway 2015

Finally managed to put a little video together. Not the craziest skiing, but surely a great landscape and an amazing time!

Ups, this one is coming with a big delay. And I can´t even say that I´ve been to busy to write anything. But whatever... Lars was so kind to invite Francisco and me to his cabin in Norway. First and foremost a big thank you for that, truly a memorable trip! Skiing, beers, sauna, a cabin and everything else that makes a trip fun. Haha I´ll do my best to get invited again!

Chartreuse Powder

So, while Lukas was cruising in Stubai I was (again) hunting powder in the Chartreuse. So nice (but the trees were really dense...)

First Day in the Park

So, two weeks ago I finally skied some park in Les7Laux with Lukas. They didn´t have much open, but it was fun anyways.

I went there again this afternoon, and now they have quite a lot of good stuff. So, hopefully more soon :)

Sunny days in the austrian alps

After I visited Max in France I drove to Austria to ski in the central alps. On my way to the Stubai valley I stoped in the Vorarlberg and skied with some friends at the Sonnenkopf. We had to search for powder really hard but it was a beautiful day.

Next day I skied at the Stubai glacier in the "Stubai Zoo". Unfortunately, due to problems with my back, I can not do any rotations at the moment. I also would love to ski in the Stubai with Max because I spotted some nice couloirs;)

Today I went on a skitour with my mum. On the top it was a bit icy and the last meters I had to climb without skis. But the view was worth it.

Perfect Parkday in Les 7 Laux

Yesterday we had a sunny and exciting freeride day, skiing some steep untouched couloirs in les 7 laux. Today we went there again to ski in the park. It was another perfect sunny mountain adventure.

It was a great time together in France. Max will stay here for more skiing while Lukas is leaving for the Stubai.

Canada? - No, Chartreuse!

Thanks to the bad weather forecast we decided to go skitouring again. This time we went to the Chartreuse. And you can not believe how much snow we found on and below the trees.

Reunion

Aaaaaand the first tour around Grenoble is in the books. Lukas came for a visit yesterday and will stay a couple of days. The forecast looked pretty bad so we decided to just try a short tour. And that turned out to be a good decision!

Powder

Finally! I already feared that there exists no such thing as powder in France. But this weekend delivered.

On Saturday I went to Les7Laux with Constant, Paola and Yana and Constant made a sweet edit:

Fête des Lumières

Skiing is still slow here in France... I went to the ValTho opening, but since then it´s been pretty much spring here. Finally colder now, so maybe it´s time to ski soon.

Anyways, instead of skiing I went to Lyon for the Fête des Lumières on Sunday. Looked pretty awesome and I caught some of it on film, hope you´ll enjoy!

Spring Classics Kaunertal

I just found a couple of shots from our trip to the Spring Classics in May. Ahhhh, I miss the slushy snow! Anyways, I put a short video together. Basically a run through the medium line with everybody. Had the cam strapped to my leg, but I quite like it ;)

Summer vacation

Hey guys

As I (Max) recently moved to Grenoble and a good friend gave me a nice hint we went to Meribel last weekend to check out the MTB Worldcup finals. I have to say that seeing the DH finals was really impressive. Haha, I feel like I can´t ride at all compared to these guys. Anyways, check out the pics below! I´ve also filmed the whole course from around 40 perspectives, so I´ll try to cut that together within the next days.

After that I went to Le Grande Bornand for some hiking and to jump on the bike myself. Got some pretty impressive views of the Mont Blanc!

Furthermore we spent one day in Les2Alpes for some summerskiing. Pretty awesome weather and fun, but no impressive skiing after several months without skiing... just the usual 360´s and a bit of work on the rail-"game" :D
